What I Knew Was You

Alyssa Castro – 2007

If what I knew was you, what do I know now?

They say I’ll make it through, but I don’t know who with, when, or how.

I’m living in this crazy place.  Living in this hazy space.

I don’t know what I’ll do, as what I knew was you.

Go on and take the rest of me.

You always had the best of me.

I can’t believe we’re through, as what I knew was you.

If what I knew was you, what do I know now?

I’ll have to start a new, but I don’t know who with when or how.

I used to drink a case of you; refused to think of replacing you.

The bottle’s broke in two, as what I knew was you.

So, go on and take the rest of me.

You always had the best of me.

I can’t believe we’re through, as what I knew was you.

I used to drink a case of you, as what I knew was you.
